Just keep in mind that most people that use such arguments are just trying to piss off people like you. I do agree that this group is not as scales-based as some comments state, but does BTBAM "wank" in their songs? I don't think that's something one can disprove solely with music theory, which is what it sounds like your argument is.

I think you are right Omaha about the inability of music theory to prove anything, in many contexts about wankery. Wankery is a very subjective term, and gets used in many different contexts that it is hard to know what one really even means when they use it. I think it really depends on how it is used, and how the receiver interprets it as to whether it is an effective way to use it as an argument for or against something.
I also think that you are right that SIMBOLIC was probably just trying to get a rise out of people.

It's pretty cool though.
Oh, and this rules. Very intentional, though out music. Also, i really like the vocals as they go really well with the whole concept to begin with. "Wankery" being as it is a subjective term, which i agree, stands far from what is in display here. Based on my idea of "wankery", that is.
