i am somewhat put off by "blood on the leaves" still. the "strange fruit" sample is so powerful i can't imagine he would let it slip by without playing off it, but he also doesn't seem to be at all.

new slaves is probably my favorite. but i really enjoy the whole thing. i'm not convinced it will have staying power but it's a gratifying listen just viscerally, and i think a lot of his verses are strong too.
