hey isn't this that one band that did that one song
|
| |
Even at their best they were just a passable Replacements imitation with great singles
|
| |
its rly lol wen you see a band like this still putting out records

The big mistake with this review was it's all too heavy reliance on a career spectrum context to make any sense of what THIS album actually sounds like. Sometimes reviews around here read more like conversations between huge fans of the band than they do actual reviews of a singular piece of work. That being said, the writing was sound.

Their main vocalist is cool, but the bass player needs to shut the fuck up. He ruins every song that he sings on.

I think this album could be better represented by an old McDonald's cheeseburger kept in the fridge. While it may not age like fine wine, that shit will taste pretty much the same for years. Yum.
I like this album.

I haven't listened to them in over a year, so this sounded good. I probably wouldn't listen to it for another year, though.

I made a big dramatic list about it, but basically I'm too busy to write reviews anymore. I'll still visit though.
Past few days I've actually been on more than before.

This album is really catchy, even if it's not the best lyrically. And hey, it still holds up well when compared to rest of the albums coming out by its competition in the mainstream.

"Rebel Beat" is catchy and better than anything else on pop radio. But I haven't liked (close to) a full album of theirs since Let Love In.

I've never liked a full album of theirs because they still let their bass player sing.

Selling out has never been more palatable than with these guys

I actually like most of this album despite it being cheesy AF because the production is light-weight and nice. Really a step up from the darker textures of the two before this.

name is still their best song
