overall sloppiness aside, this review articulates your issues with the music quite well. successful as a review with a contrasting opinion imo.

Just about every track on this album (except the interludes) is constant blastbeats for about 90% of the runtime

this is straight up inaccurate.

Sounds more like The Appleseed Cast than a black metal record.

what do you mean it "feels" like blastbeats 90% of the time...

the amount of blastbeats is of the few points that is actually an objective fact. the drummer isnt blasting more than he is on this album; stating that he is for a vast majority of the album is simply innacurate, theres no way around it

Review needed to be done, thank the fucking lord. You have some balls around here Noctus.

review is as intelligent as that statement^

Why did you all of sudden turn into a butthurt fanboy?

would you stop intentionally missing my very obvious point

the constant intensity makes the rest blur into one to the point where nothing feels intense any more

if you disagree that's fine but the point i'm making is very obvious

Butthurt fanboys are going to try this and is the single reason I stopped posting in the positive review. It's like they try to point out one thing that could be incriminating on your point yet they don't post the rest of the backup.

this is straight up inaccurate.

No, your definitely wrong on this. Pretty sure if I sat down and timed the amount of blasts throughtout the four songs, Noctus would be right.

Lol with this band everyone is either talking about how it's "faux black metal" or about how it's like "barely metal" or something when I'm pretty sure the dudes in the band 100% intended this to be a black metal album, they just dgaf about being trve or w/e

No one's talking about it being faux black metal. Do you like making up facts?

it's totally irrelevent anyway, it's whether it's good or not that matters

as for this it had quite a bit of potential but it wasted it

lol it's funny how the only people who talk about it being faux-black metal are the people attempting to defend it

'faux black metal'

Only the image you have in your head of what is something can affect the object form which deviates from such yet is consciously held as part of a general picture. There's no such an image, and this is just average 'American Black Metal.'

*Had Deafheaven never considered themselves a black metal band is unrelated to my actual rating , which remains static.
