I swear I think this album is actually some kind of modernized real emo or a tribute in some way

Am I going crazy?

Some of the music on the other albums were kind of catchy, but I could never take the band seriously because the vocalist sounds like a 10 yr old girl. Honestly, he makes Anthony Green ALMOST sound like a man.

Kellin has some ok moments and compared to the rest of the band his work is more enjoyable. But this album is freakin awful

Don't judge it as another post-hardcore album. It's a pretty good pop album and you guys should judge it for what it is. The whining feel does get tiring after the 4th track though.

Bands usually have a 'mainstream' album to please either their record labels and/or attract new fans. This is that album. Nowhere near as good as the first album. I actually had to physically edit Alone using some free downloadable software so that Machine Gun Kelly never collaborated with SWS... EVER!

Very few screams, no good guitar parts, and mostly generic choruses. Based on their last album, it was obvious they were headed in this direction, but it just wasn't pulled off well. And the conceited lyrics on those songs are very annoying. I like the production, and kellin has a few good moments, but that's it.

what were the guitarists doing while they were writing the record, there aren't any memorable parts

besides some singer's hooks but he's even more grating than before
