both Shameful Metaphors and Highland's Apparition rule
Mexican Sun is one of the band's most underrated songs imo

@Emim, perhaps this being a few years later people's views are less biased/fanboy based? Like I know everyone loves WWN etc and don't get me wrong so do I. However, for some reason this album stands out for me so much. Personally, the reviewer and I share a disliking towards Highland's Apparition as well. I think maybe because Chevelle to an extend can be so experimental at times, different listeners are bound to come together and appreciate them differently, nothing wrong with that.

Orrrrrr, your bias is just towards their later albums because that's where your nostalgia is.

My nostalgia is spread out over all their albums so I'm not biased towards any one

I've only listened to Chevelle for about a year or two now....I have NO nostalgia when it comes to this band. So I look at the albums from a completely neutral standpoint.

The only Nostalgia I have for these guys is seeing them play small gigs at shitty clubs in the late 90's. Pete, was really the deal breaker for me, guy can sing well.
Roswell's Spell or Sleep Apnea are my favorite off here.
