Agree with review. I've heard this ~15-20 times by now and it hasn't come close to hitting me as hard as their last three albums.
It's still really good, but I can't say I'm not a bit disappointed.

4.5 for me as a massive fan of the band.
3.5 to 4 as an objective listener.

Excellent review...staff quality.
I still haven't heard this but I'm going to in about five minutes.

Yeah. I guess they're waiting until a staff writer posts a review, but this should be featured regardless.

I'm not too bothered about a feature to be honest. Best leave it to someone sharing the majority opinion.
|
| |
Meh, as long as the opinion's shared in a solid way it doesn't matter how much it caters to the overall opinion. At least for me.

It's about it being well-written, not about it mirroring popular opinion.
I think the reason for a lack of a feature is because Chan is supposed to review it.
This could always get the feature in the meanwhile.

I've never gotten that feel from The National. All of their records needed time to grow on me.

Did you have that problem where you're constantly thinking what you're gonna rate something as you listen to it
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
yeah basically just constant analysis and comparison and chatter in my head instead of just listening and feeling and experiencing
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
I get that too a bit although I often take weeks to rate stuff I listen to so it's not like I pressure myself
