hmmm. shouldnt have bought into the hype perhaps. mostly just noise and some uninspired piano melodies.

It's an album that requires headphones only and so much attentiveness it's almost not worth it. Even then some songs don't work. I never did get why Eluvium is so highly regarded.

OK - I take it all back. I didn't give this enough of a chance because I didn't love Copia. A few solid listens in and this is amazing.
Start is a bit weak though, probably why I found it hard to get into.

The first track is brill but it loses momentum after a while and drags on. Some songs should have been a lot shorter.

Yeah I do like it, but the glitchy bits underneath ruin it and it's too long. Last track does not need vocals too

Need to check this out. I really like Talk Amongst the Trees.

t/ albums like these really need to be listened to in the right mood

Which album, this or Earthshine? I'd agree on both counts, though I'm regularly in the mood for stuff like this.

Yeah both albums. The atmospheric stuff definitely needs the right mood for me, so I'm enjoying these albums while I'm still in the mood.
Yes you should Jac, and first thing to do when you get back to metal is DT's DVD *scornful glare.
|

Earthshine is actually the oddball out of his discography and the least atmospheric of his albums. While you're still in the mood, check out Movements and a few of his others.

I knew weren't a true DT fan.
Yeah Key the beats are much louder than the atmospheric keyboards, will check Movements thanks. I know where to ask for some ambient music, Keybient :D
