I dont know what was their goal to put these gems among live songs, but I think it wasnt a good idea. I think a lot of people dont know these gorgeous songs because of that.

Keystudio was the solution by containing all these unknown gems and more.

I just read on wiki that the Keys2 songs were originally material of a couple of their side projects (XYZ and ABWH) at the time that made it onto the Yes albums. The two from Keys1 were recorded earlier in 1995-1996. They are certainly superior to Open Your Eyes, for sure.

I've only heard bad things with Open your Eye; And it was recorded at the same year as Keys II. We didnt need of Open your Eyes over it. At all.

Unfortunately he didn't participate in the tour for Close to the Edge, during which Alan White

replaced him (and remained Yes' drummer since, of course). Most of the recordings here are from that

tour, so most of it is White drumming. The exceptions are Perpetual Change and Long Distance

Runaround/The Fish, which are from the Fragile tour and thus feature Bruford. The difference is

fairly notable, but of course White must have had limited time to learn all those tricky patterns.

white kills on ctte and heart of the sunrise though

Heart of the Sunrise is actually one of the tracks where Bruford's absence is felt most. The

original track was one of his best moments with Yes.

Yeah who else but Bruford can play Heart of the Sunrise the way he plays it. He truly is a magician on that one.
