@Madcreator

Thanks man. I understand were you're coming from. What they're doing now is very different than what they did in the past.

@greg84

Thanks a lot.

@scissorlocked

Thank you friend. I didn't see that coming!

@TheSmashBro

I approached the album with low expectations too. Bananas was really good, if only it had better production...

@kitsch

MK II>>>>>>>>>>

@peaks40

Yup, definitely better than their last 4 albums.

Why are old band's new album covers always so crappy?

@JS19

hehe, maybe it has to do with limited seeing capacity due to their age. Nah, seriously now, record

labels are supposed to have people for these jobs, so they are the ones to blame. However, Deep

Purple have released albums with far worse covers.

@lostforwords

Thank you so much bro.

@Voivod

Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it! Appreciate the grats too.

@CrimsonLies

It's a good album too. Great dig also!

I think that the cover concept is brilliant in its simplicity.

@TheBigLeb

Seeing that you like hard rock, I think you'll find at least some really good ideas.

@Voivod

It's a big improvement over their last albums and it's definitely not bad. One of my objections is that they constantly change their logo. I understand if they do it 1-2 in their career because it's like they reinvent themselves but these guys do it too often.

Now about the artwork. Just becouse is simple dosn't mean it's bad. I prefer this instead of Bananas or Purpendicular. (their best artwork for me is from the album Deep Purple (MK1))

Sure, those are worse, but that doesn't make this one good. It just seems to be a thing that long running band's artwork gets worse towards the end of their career.

Great review by the way but I probably won't pick this up.

Paice is probably what keeps this band going, as he's been in all the band's incarnations. Sabbath has a new album coming up too, but their last one was so bad that I don't expect much from that band. DP has been more succesful in the long run.

Don't forget Santana. Zep had some nice covers as well.

i fucking hate this band; or, rather, i don't mind deep purple, but i hate whoever these assholes are using that name whose new lp my dad will surely buy and keep playing around the house as he's done with the same garbage that's come out of this joke Mk∞ lineup for the past 15 years.

Thanks dude.

@kual21

Thanks man, I'm glad you like the review and the album.

@aggelosm

Don't forget Rainbow, The Beatles, Grateful Dead, etc. I know you will agree with me on this one; it was all about the music back then.

@dannyboy89

Agreed 100% on Santana.

@sublimefan1991

Hate is such a strong word for someone you don't know man but OK I can see where you're coming from.

Fantastic, what talent in this band! Just listen to Apres Vous, not just the amazing solos, hear also the drum and bass groove. Gillans combination of melody and lyrics are spot on for me, they reach deep. This is a classic album and few bands today can match the sheer talent. Yes the keyboards are loud in the mix but the songs are clearly based on guitar riff and melody. And don't you like the way Paice plays to the song, not to show off, he always does that.

A 5?! Hehe, I appreciate the enthusiasm and I agree that Deep Purple is one of the most talented bands ever.
