We come running is probably weak live because the chorus relies extremely heavily on gang vocals which can either translate amazingly live or not so well at all. Usually the latter.

yeah that was partially it. the other part was the lead singer didn't hold the note at all, honestly i don't know if he holds it in studio if only the gang vox do it but in any case it translated really poorly live

I heard these guys suck live. But that was just one source so who knows. I hope the show is amazing.
|
| |
yeah that's basically my evaluation of them. forever was pretty good, the rest of the set was not and we come running was really disappointing.
also they really didn't have much stage presence, the (male) vocalist was bouncing around so awkwardly, like that sitcom white guy who thinks he can dance but can't at all.
i'm excited to see andrew mcmahon at 7 though, i'm really hoping he plays some jack's mannequin stuff

Miss Delaney, where's your boyfriend?

yeah i'm hoping he plays more stuff off of everything in transit but i'd guess he'll only play 2-3. i'm interested to see how the new EP sounds live (have you heard it btw). oh man i'm excited i should start heading back to the festival

Haven't heard it I just know it's electronic (from iTunes previews and youtube)

ah, i'm not sure how much you'd like it, but imo it's better than the glass passenger and people and things.
it's only like 15 minutes long so you should check it out when you have time :p

One of the many to follow the lead of Passion Pit, LA based indie-pop outfit Youngblood Hawke impress on their debut LP 'Wake Up'. Containing 4 tracks from their self-titled EP, the youthful quintet exuberantly deliver a bright & uplifting batch of tunes which all have an infectious sing-along quality. Practically every track here could be released as a single, with diversity not a strong point since most tunes are variations on the same theme. It's front-loaded, but ultimately this is a strong debut, even if one has to question the band's future growth. Recommended Tracks: We Come Running, Forever, Dannyboy & Last Time.
