They still have plenty of ideas. They just need to execute them better.

I like how concise this album is at it's best, but it feels very uneven, and some tracks are simply forgettable.

For me the band really did not use enough time signature changes or utilise their chemistry set. It was Bluejazz, when I needed technicolor post-jazz. I wanted something that slithered lazily around my neurons and then gave me internal ECT. It tasted too much like cheddar rather than a Rogue River Blue. Despite being blue, lacks flavour.
