One day I will visit Japan (hopefully on my own band tour) and I shall time it to coincide with a LTS concert, because that shit is high on my "before I die" list

kimi tooku starts fleeting. the rest seems to have a knack to knock your teeth out from the very start, huh. missing ling reminds me of their sound in inspiration is dead and feeling your ufo. damn, missing ling is good. insane riffs.

this is another subject though, anyone ever heard of band the brown from japan? their first album is just as crazy, like a blend of 9mmpb, LTS, or maybe first album mars volta. still, some english lyrics pronunciation might not be an appeal to everyone.

Really? Missing ling is a real oddball in their discography, they've never used big distorted power chords like that before. Probably my least favourite Sigure song

And I'll definitely check out The brown, sounds rad

The key change near the end of Missing Ling still sounds kind of weird on some listens but I think it closes the album decently enough.

Decently enough yeah, and I still like it as a song, but this is my favourite band and this is my lowest rating for any of their albums so I just feel decently enough is pretty shit for a band with usually impeccable standards

yeah well, let me reconsider. not that insane and i'm aware about that key change. sounds like TK pushing himselves too far, could have closed without the key change. the other tracks have much more intricate riffs than missing ling. upon 5-6 listens, now filmsick mystery and sitai miss me are favorites.

not their best offer though. ufo and inspiration is dead are best. frenzy as shit

Yeah, I love ling both for their intricate insanity and melodic beauty, while missing ling is mostly a weird attempt at shoegaze

UFO, Inspiration and Just a Moment are all 5s for me, but Inspiration is my absolute favourite album by any band.

Silentstar - The guys who wrote all the reviews on this band translated the lyrics into English, you'll find it on the first page of comments for one of these albums. I think it was Virgin. But I wouldn't really advise reading it - you get the general gist of it all from the music and vocals. The images you think he might be painting are probably the right ones, and the music paints them far more vividly than the words. TK is not the greatest wordsmith, and he covers the same themes with the same paint on every album.

A year after the release and dozens of listens later, I still love this album. I think it's only gotten better with time, I should bump the rating to 4.5.

Same thing happened to me. I was pretty disappointed when it was released, but it's grown massively on me. These days it

I'd rank it above #4 (so second from the bottom, but that doesn't mean much when #4 is a high 4, pun unintended but

appreciated).

Missing Ling still bums me out though and I often skip it, and it really is starting to feel like TKs inspiration is dying (oh man I'm

on fire), especially considering the lack of effort he put into Contrast (and which should really have just been a Sigure release,

it's even less different than flowering was).

Which sucks since they're my favourite band by a long margin, and I genuinely believe TK is one of the greatest guitarists to

have lived

Oh, and thanks for the translations man! You're a legend (and your reviews really helped me find great Japanese bands that otherwise fly under the radar). And you're translating, especially in terms of wording and keeping the imagery intact, has gotten noticeably better.

But the translation really hammers home the fact that TK has basically been rewriting the same damn words in slightly different ordering for almost a decade
