The lyrics on this are absolutely dorky as hell and I laugh out loud at them all the time but they're fun and they fit a concept that they stick to pretty hard, they're clearly not trying to be anything they're not. There are so many dogshit trying to be cool or trying to be tough lyrics out there especially in metal and shit like

Yeah I got super into these guys with Lvl 2 and then I ordered a physical copy of lvl 1 and I was like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what the fuck is this? There's still some rly cool shit on there looking back tho.

I decided to revisit cause I heard one of the new songs the other day and I really liked it, hopefully it doesn't take too long to release tho. I assume Michael resurrected this because The Contortionist is taking so long themselves lol

They did a deep dive on this album on twitch maybe 2-3 years ago which was really cool and during that they announced that they were slowly but surely working on Act 4 but doing everything themselves with no real deadlines just an 'it'll be done when it's done" But also with that now not having a label they're releasing everything a track at a time through patreon and the 4th single just dropped on Patreon and will be on streaming at the end of the month and they've called that the end of "chapter 1 of level 4" or something which just makes me worried they're gonna dump these 4 songs and we'll be sitting for however long before they start releasing things again.

I'd almost rather they just made separate EPs instead of trying to make something this spread out and then call it one whole record once it's done but this is just kind of the tik-tokification of the music industry at work + what bands have to do if they don't want to get jerked around by a label sadly.
