I figured some people would have that response. I do generally enjoy the band, but in this review I tried to be as objective as possible on the album

Home and Animosity were the last albums I really listened to from these guys. I previewed a few of the songs here and they didn't seem to compare, despite what the review speaks of. Am I missing the bigger picture?

Hope, it's more of a recollection of their entire career in one album, with the intensity of the first 3 albums showing up prominently.

Also thejon93, I just got my physical copy today, I've been blasting in my car all day driving back and forth to school. Like I said, this is their best work to date

My copy didn't come in the mail today. Amazon screwed me and I'll probably have to wait until Friday.

We are bound to meet as rivals in which we shall clash as gladiators surrounded by a ring fire while this album blasts throughout the arena.

Listening to it now. I am going to have to hear a few times, it seems. Nothing is really clicking with me (besides "Decay" which is a serious contender for fave song of 2013 for me). It really sucks, because I was really banking on this being a AOTY contender for me. At this point, it seems as those it will be taking up residence in the disappointments corner (with HTDA and Atoms for Peace).

I need to listen to this, but I havent liked much of their stuff after Seasons. The album title is
pretty gay.

Been meaning to write a review for this as soon as I got my hands on it, but your review pretty much mirrors my thoughts. Nice job, great album.

I'm personally a huge Seasons fan, but they actually managed to keep the aggressiveness of their first albums and retain the melodic aspect Lajon's always excelled at without making it sound watered down. And Clint's vocals are wicked on this album.
