Exactly. Especially on this scale. One More Time was such a huge mainstream hit for instance. And Around The World. And Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. The list goes on and on and on.

Yes, yes and yes. Daft Punk is truely the be all and end all of overall appeal across genre spectrums and non-music fans.

For example they have a lot of fans who are primarily into rock/metal. I mean some songs even directly appeal to that (Aerodynamic)

Completely agree.

And we haven't even mentioned Alive 2007. Omg. Such a blast that record. One of my fave live records ever. The fact that they just tease the crowd by starting one song and playing another or blending two or even three of their biggest hits into one big climactic whole is pure genius if you ask me.
