Nothing will ever beat Innuendo for me

Yeah this rules.
|

So, 70's Queen or 70's Scorpions?

Great choice fallenbird. March Of The Black Queen is my favorite Queen too.
|
| |
Damn. I guess I need to hear March of the Black Queen.
|
| |
Listening again, this just gets better and better.
Dunno why these guys are tagged as prog.

Bohemian Rhapsody and March Of The Blakc Queen are both prog
|
| |
They're epics, but imo that doesn't make Queen a prog band.
|
| |
Queen gets proggy on more than one occasion. It's a suitable tag.
|
| |
They dabbled in prog perhaps, but they were first and foremost a hard rock band imo.
|
| |
Well, yeah. But I think you can be both. You don't have to be on the same level as Rush or King Crimson to be prog.
|
| |
Sabbath dabbled in prog too.
Finally, an interesting discussion on this site.
|
| |
Prog and metal like to go hand in hand quite often. And Sabbath pretty much covered all things metal, so yeah.
|
| |
Fair point school. Ogre Battle rules hard btw.

Queen is at least proggy. Dig the Tenement Funster/Flick of the Wrist/Lily of the Valley medley off
SHA. It's fairly prog.

Songwriting is tight as fuck on here.

Which other Queen albums have you jammed danny?
|
| |
Well I've heard SHA (once tho), ANATO (once) and I'm not sure if I've jammed the debut properly from top to bottom. So yeah, need to jam more.
I'm quite familiar with the singles ofc, have heard 'em one too many times. But songs like Ogre Battle and March of the Black Queen blow most of those completely out of the water.
And Father to Son ofc.

You should listen to Innuendo, opinions are fucking divided with that one, fripper and me 5'd it, but others like menawati gave it a 2

I thought it was generally considered by many to be a great end of a career, maybe I was wrong.
