They're epics, but imo that doesn't make Queen a prog band.

Queen gets proggy on more than one occasion. It's a suitable tag.

They dabbled in prog perhaps, but they were first and foremost a hard rock band imo.

Well, yeah. But I think you can be both. You don't have to be on the same level as Rush or King Crimson to be prog.

Sabbath dabbled in prog too.

Finally, an interesting discussion on this site.

Prog and metal like to go hand in hand quite often. And Sabbath pretty much covered all things metal, so yeah.

Which other Queen albums have you jammed danny?

Well I've heard SHA (once tho), ANATO (once) and I'm not sure if I've jammed the debut properly from top to bottom. So yeah, need to jam more.

I'm quite familiar with the singles ofc, have heard 'em one too many times. But songs like Ogre Battle and March of the Black Queen blow most of those completely out of the water.

And Father to Son ofc.
