actually now that i think about it, every song on this album is better than anything on SotS, this album fucking rules

nah its generic as fuck and way too squeaky clean

no i mean generic for at the gates. listen to the psychotic, twisted, haunting creations they spewed
on this album and then listen to the simple, straightforward watered down stuff on slaughter. its a
completely different realm of songwriting. the fact that OTHER bands copied the already boring,
sterile sound of SotS just made things even worse. it's sad that at the gates are hardly recognized
for their truly groundbreaking albums

how can i say that? because on that album they truly lost the dark soul of their original sound, the essence of what made the early stuff so awesome was completely gone. it's by FAR their worst material
