Also, I'd try not to lose myself in "monotonous exercising" - that shit can actually get unhealthy.

Im too i guess lazy to count my calories, all i know is I barely eat, especially the days when I work, I eat an egg and yogurt and the morning, w/e for lunch if I have it, and chicken or fish and vegetables for dinner. So Im sure I cant be taking in that many calories

and I'm not out of shape in any way I'm just tryin to build muscle. Thats the goal after this stupid PT test.
|

eating too little can slow down your metabolism though. causing the opposite of what you want.
theres alot of shit on diet that contradicts. some people say a bunch of small meals is best, and some say dont eat at all until later in the day and then just gouge your face (the warrior diet).

"Im too i guess lazy to count my calories"
It's also something you don't need to do, there's a shitload of people who don't give a fuck. Including a bunch of people that are even more on the bodybuilding aspect. (aka "looking good" and "muscle mass"; not even strength or flexibility)

damn this would make for some good working out music.

"It's also something you don't need to do, there's a shitload of people who don't give a fuck."
exactly it's funny since most bodybuilders I know just try and take on as many calories as they possibly can in one day, and they're total monsters. They just lift and hit the cardio they need to and the results are insane

Eh, I'm not too much into the whole bodybuilding stuff - especially not the whole "mountain of meat" thing, the whole "gym routine" thing is too monotonous for me as compared to more versatile utilities like KGs and clubs ect., I mostly focus on strength & flexibility/health anyway and quite frankly where I live there's a huge "moronic meathead following" of BB. So I just roll with some GTG and HFT at home/outside. But yeah, I know similar results from buddies. (both in terms of BB and endurance, strength and flexibility)

I might just redo the Insanity workout, that shit sucked, but it helped a lot

yea wolf the whole bodybuilding thing is definitely a bit much, just look at before and after pictures of some of the world's best in their prime and now, ugh spooky.
I don't find going to the gym monotonous at all, as long as I'm switching stuff up every week per muscle, but definitely going for maintenance more than getting overly jacked these days

Plus theres been a whole bunch of studies showing that women prefer guys who arent overly huge bodybuilders anyway. They like guys who look healthy with some muscle, but not too much. Even if you're TOO ripped they might not like it. Just be in good shape with a little bulk and you're good. Dont look like all you care about is the gym. Unless you're training to be a bodybuilder, football player, action star, or you're a bouncer/bodyguard or something theres no reason for you to look like the juggernaut. At least if you want to get girls and not just showoff in front of your bros.
I mean its the same for me with women. I dont like women who bodybuild and I dont like women who are too skinny/ripped. Just give me a healthy looking woman in shape with some curves and we're good.

"but to build you need to EAT EAT EAT"
Depending on what you want to build. As I have already said, there are many ways leading to Rome. You can also have a "normal" diet and achieve your goals. Hell, look at "gladiatior diets", shit's insane and it can work.
MO: Agreed, or just look at some athletes that get their physique from "just doing sports" majorily, they kick ass and they aren't necessarily beefy. Hell, I know a guy that is extremely good at basketball, badminton, soccer and whatnot and he's actually "somewhat chubby". Dude owned our teacher, 3 times.
Oh, it definitely depends. It depends on what you're doing and your personal perspective and how you handle shit, it's just often that gym goers take up their routine, sure they might switch up some but I actually hear quite frequently about being able to "zone out" which is IMO not what you should be able to during a workout.

"m going the normal diet route fo sho. Its cheap and I'm seeing some results after only two weeks..."
^ Same. I don't really build a lot of mass/build mass easily - in whatever way - anyway. But noticable changes usually come pretty 'fast'. My back's been a lot less of a dick since I picked up the KB and the club and started taking long walks/hiking again.

"built in density not size when you're not taking steriods"
Not necessarily true, it also depends on your exercising and the other stuff you take in. Also, strength and flexibility go more into density (and literal flexibility) than mass (which makes sense physically).
