No, I mean 'like' actual fretless guitar. Behold:

I forget who specifically but he is trained by some famous musician. A quick google search I'm sure will turn up the answer.

Calc you can call anything you want beautiful if you feel that way.

Yeah I saw these guys live in my hometown a few days ago and can confirm how insane Tom Monda is.

I just wish they had more of a crowd.

I've always wanted to play a fretless guitar. I'd imagine it takes way more skill.

i just finished my first listen-through. Like lots of prog, there are some parts and songs that are absolutely killer and then some parts that come off a little too hokey or forced for me. I really need to get through it a few more times before rating because my feelings were all over the place.

Regardless, "My Famed Disappearing Act" is a great song. It's like Coheed, The Mars Volta, and Protest the Hero all collaborated on a track.

I'll follow up and say sometimes I really just wish they would tone down the horns or woodwinds or whatever the proper name is. They get a little over the top at times for me. I like the way someone like TMV used them better. They syncopated stuff with an almost ska-tone just doesn't do it for me here.

The guitar work and the overall songwriting is phenomenal on this album, but there are parts that just fall a little flat for me. Then again, I always end up comparing a band like this to my enjoyment of TMV which isn't fair to them.
