But overall I like Machina better.
machina is so underrated

I need to give this album a shot. The new Pumpkins suck, Machina is underrated, and I'm not looking for more Pumpkins. I'll approach it with an open mind

The more I listen to the song Honestly, the more I realize how much of a piece of shit the rest of this album is. In all honesty, this album, rated song by song, would look like:
Lyric 1/5
(all other songs) 1/5
...
Honestly 5/5
How Honestly can be such a good song and the rest are so piss poor is downright hard to comprehend. Maybe James secretly helped write it, or it was originally written for the pumpkins; I have no idea.
I rarely rage this hard, but it's a crime of passion. I have never heard an album as good as Siamese Dream (MCATIS wasn't to be scoffed at either), and, relatively, this is an abomination. As is whatever crap the pumpkins are putting out now. Alright peace!

'SP for the kids', or the 'Honestly and the rest' would be a better name for this album

Dusted this off having not listened to it in literally 14 years. I liked it then, I think I like it even more now. Way unjustly hated. So many great tracks (Mary star, desire, lyric, honestly, d of faith). The album does sag after Black Swan (basically Heartsong-Yeah is throwaway, which is four songs). If the quality of the other songs was upheld the entire time, this would be a definite 4.

The band and the album has become a punchline. The best possible outcome for it. Since Corgan is into wrestling, this was his attempt at turning face and nobody was buying it.

It's good. There is a handful of tracks I really click with and some are just there.

Yeah this is very underrated. First half is stacked. Jesus I/Mary Star of the Sea is epic.

Revisiting this after so many years (I still have the CD! And it's not on Spotify, at least in my neck of the woods...).
It's got a few gems, it's better than some Pumpkins records.

@pourradass
Agree, might as well be the most pop album Corgan ever made. This, Oceania and Ogilala are the most consistent Corgan projects after Mellon Collie.
