I agree, parts of it sound like half-baked ideas that totally halt the flow of it, but the parts that hit are better than anything else he's done I think.

I know this is kind of a cop-out, but honestly it's not meant to flow well. That's the point. He's obviously actively pursuing this kind of concept of a disjointed bag of ideas. He makes it work in such a unique and satisfying way though (for me anyway) that removes all the negative connotation that comes with saying a record is disjointed or not fleshed-out.
Bevan is a genius and always gets away with whatever the hell he wants, and this EP is no different (in my opinion!).
