I kinda know what you mean. Sometimes their lyrics do seem to portray some kind of extreme situation, but I do think there's a problem with apathy among people

These days I prefer their second album, just because it's a bit more cavalier than confrontational. Their boy/girl songs are always pretty sweet too.

It's basically this but executed well, so if you still hate the general sound of this and LLTS it's probably not worth it

I'll probably just stream it on youtube or something because I've been following everything Itch/TKB do since like 2008 anyway

I just hate all the political shit he's doing. It's all been done countless times before.

Part 2 is a tad better, yeah. There's nothing offensively bad like most of this - nothing particularly stand-out either. I'll probably have to give it 2.5 because 2's a tad harsh.

I thought Diplomat was pretty cool although it wears off quickly

Haha. Itch is one of the best punk/reggae/ska writers in the world at the moment (and for a while), if you know your shit. The fact that you guys would criticise Holiday just suggests you are that ignorant about melodies and how to actually construct a song. Clearly it's not his best, but you can't come up with absolute gems everytime, I'd know. I criticise plenty of bands - Rancid and Antiflag's last album weren't brilliant (though the lyrics and subject matter of the latter was still impressive), but I actually appreciate the direction Itch goes with the recent stuff. At least he's being honest, and taking the music in the direction he wants it to go. Yeah, plenty of the melodies are not his best on this stuff, but his lyrics are incredibly topical (and to challenge that just suggests your complete lack of awareness of the problems of the contemporary world - e.g. one in every second child in the world living in poverty, according to the World Bank Development statistics of 2008 [only time the WB tells the truth]). Love your shit Itch, keep going dude - I fully appreciate it.

You cannot be serious.

Guy writes a tepid melody in a typical verse-chorus constructed song and that's good because he's objectively one of the best writers in the world anyway?

Everything Itch and Jamie have done since TKB has been laughable and pretty weak. Bleach Blood and Itch's new stuff has none of the original power of TKB. Apparently Al Gunby (their original drummer) is in The Filaments (whos new album is ace btw) and an other band really good band called Axes.
