Album is immense and I like it that way. I think it falters a bit in a couple of places, but the majority makes up for it. No, it's not something you'll be able to spin constantly, but I don't think it needs to be.
And yeah, disagreeing with his opinion has nothing to do with how well it's written.

nada, just being "that guy". I'm glad to get bipartisan discussion going on this. the 5'ers have legit points though for a change.

Did anybody by any chance get the LP for this? I considered it but I heard it kinda blew on vinyl so I got The Money Store instead.

Well written review.
Some people get Swans, some don't. Nothing else to it. Been getting them for a good portion of my life so yay me. So, I'd tend to disagree.

Nah yo, the tracklisting for the vinyl is even better than the CD.

I just want to point out how "anti-hype" is just as irrational as "hype". On the first page I was told my statement doesn't have any credibility because I gave this album a 5, and was then told to "Learn how to post-punk."
Learn how to opinion.

But doesn't it open with The Apostate? See, I find that song to be the perfect closer.

6 sides? that's crazy. and having to flip it over halfway through a song seems really annoying.

Everyone likes this too much. Huh, it doesn't sound like something I'd like. Let me sweep in to show them that I don't like it and tell them they're wrong. Oh no, it's not good enough. Time to get an alt to bring the rating down, because I don't agree with it. I don't think it's that bad, but I gotta rate it lower because it isn't THAT good. Everyone rating it so high is just bandwagon hopping.
Not talking about you reviewer, just the logic of anti-hypers.
