Man, where to begin....The greatest album of all time, or at least top 3.

This is my second favorite Pink Floyd album, right behind Animals

Just got this for Christmas, and I have to say this is one of the greatest albums of all time....I have no favorite tracks, it's all good.

1. The Wall (simply for Comfortably Numb)
2. Wish You Were Here
3. Dark Side of the Moon

Although I have never heard the greatest hits album, I thoroughly doubt that it would be any good. Each album has a different feel to it and all the songs blend in so well with each other. Mixing them together just wouldn't have that same feel.

But , to be honest , i didn't really like this album . I don't really get what's so amazing about it . Yes it has wonderful songs , especially "Wish You Were Here" ( which is btw IMO one of the best songs ever) , but not amazing . I actually got somewhat frustrated of listeting to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" , and even bored from "Welcome To The Machine" , which is btw IMO , is the worst song on this album . I liked "Atom Heart Mother" more than that , and even "Division Bell" , the , unfortunately , underrated album of Pink Floyd.

Ouststanding review of an increadable album. Easily my favorite Pink Floyd album, along with Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, and the Wall (basically all of the ones from the 70s, except Meddle.) Wish You Were Here is one of the greatest songs ever recorded!

I really love them all though and on this list, the last 4 are literally interchangeable and will probably be different tomorrow. However, this and Pulse are always at the top of my list.

rolling stone has a couple of their albums on the greatest album list and they did realease the best album ever dsotm and still they are not even included in rolling stones 100 greatest artist of all time? eminem got on that list but pink floyd didn't..........

robo2448, if you like pulse, that's cool. I have a suggestion for you though. If you really want to ruin your favorite pink floyd album of all time, get a copy of the dvd. it's pretty pathetic (in my opinion at least). My favorite floyd albums are:

1. Atom Heart Mother (SOOO underrated)
2. Animals
3. Dark Side of the Moon
4. Wish You Were Here
5. The Wall Live (which i still don't own, i'm waiting for my friend to burn it for me)

i still love the syd barrett stuff (arnold layne, jugband blues, the gnome, interstellar overdrive), but it gets weird and quirky at times. i think a saucerful of secrets is amazing, but it doesnt stand out as an album that really flows well. another highly underrated one is ummagumma. the live disc is incredible, and the studio disc is great if you're into that kinda stuff

This album changed the way I look at music. The title track is so amazing. Shine On You Crazy Diamond is my favorite PF song along with Dogs. Great Review.
