altho this isn't as bad I had anticipated with the three REALLY shitty songs they released prior, just
hasn't got the same intensity that the band once had. Maybe it was 5 years off in between albums, but
this is akin to dillinger's Ire Works...the pieces are all there, but something is missing. And fuck
if Blake Harrison can be listed as a fulltime member of this band they might as well throw Katz on
there too, she at least contributed something noticeable here lol. Might even do her good to just take
over vocals altogether here...she's got spunk.
but ya the second half of this album is much better than the first. pretty spot on review. not gonna
rate this yet. will give it a few more listens first

Aw man, I got my first neg. At the very least, this review was well written me thinks. And I still have no site rank. Sigh.

tbh best part of this band is the closer on "Phantom Limb" with the country song playing in the car

"The quality of the music was of such high quality..."
Might want to revise that.
Other than that good review although I thoroughly enjoyed the album.

Best track on the album, IMO.
From 1:10 that riff sounds an awful lot like this riff. Just sayin.

I echo a previous poster's sentiments that I feel like we didn't even listen to the same album. It'd be cool if they released Prowler part 2, or honestly just kept putting out split comps, but considering the much more traditional direction they took on Phantom Limb, I was pleasantly surprised by the short track lengths and three guest vocalists, especially Katz, who needs to be promoted to co-vocalist (IMO). Super groovy and super punk-y, and a much needed difference in sound from the glut of other great extreme releases this year.
EDIT: Well there is far too many commas in that first sentence. Oh well.

maybe it's because I listen to a lot of hardcore, but I really love this album already. got me through the last week of my thesis. on repeat for a few days.
the lyrics on this read a little more political than the stuff I've read of terrifyer and phantom (which are fucking amazing), and maybe a little more simplistic, sure.
but man, some of those slower, more moshy style riffs? I reckon they pull it off here.
and his vocals killed me. I really dug them. just so ANGRYYY UGHHHH

That's an understatement. Sounds like someone Pillmanized his throat.

its not like hes ever been a great vocalist, hes always been just ok. he makes the music more intense and doesnt get in the way.

He's a good vocalist the dude can scream over everything without the mic but his vocals on this are shit
|
| |
they might be loud but theyre not the most brutal or throat tearing or intense vocals out there.
