it's everything this album did great, the fat trimmed, the electronica emphasised but done extremely well
i've wanted an album just like this one for years and they delivered

Stumbled upon these after they were mentioned in a Mono discussion. Don’t think I’ve ever heard them mentioned before in any other post rock chats here so had low/no expectations. One listen in and this was an instant hit. Looking forward to a few more listens and then checking out the rest of their stuff.

After a few more listens....love the opening two, March of the Meglomaniacs took a while to click as I would lose interest during the middle 3 minutes - but the 4 minutes either side are perfect. Hands Full of Hearts kind of drags it down a bit for me. What can I say about the run of October-Gravity Head-Amazing Hog......just sublime.

For Better of for Worse - dark synth or synth wave now completely incorporated into their sound, whereas it was just hinted at here. When it’s done well (Gunship, Chvrches) it can make something that is on the surface seemingly so glossy and poppy, yet have real genuine depth and sound so emotionally demanding and beautifully dark, but more often than not it is done badly and is nothing more that poor cheese overload imitation, and there is a proliferation of bands on this bandwagon. It seems to me that there is a very fine line between the two. Thankfully, Leeches are confidently in the former. And the marriage of dark synth and post rock here has been done with the right balance.
