I am probably going to end up getting this and Battle Studies at some point, but I am pretty hesitant about the new one.
|
| |
this is easily the best of the three
battle studies is ok not great has some good jams and some bad jams
assassin is a cracking tune

Naturally tommy.
this one seems a bit forced in some places, but is surprisingly fluid in the country-ish tunes.

Underrated Mayer album.

People seem to love Continuum around here, but I think this is Mayer's best work. Not a weak song on the album imo. His voice really works with the folky, country style stuff on here too. Highlights for me would probably be Age of Worry, Speak for Me, and Born and Raised.

Still a really fucking excellent record.

Great album. Walt Grace's Submarine Ride is worth the price of admission by itself, but there's a lot to enjoy on here. Regrettably the production is leaps and bounds worse than Battle Studies or Continuum.
