it's ambient house trance. just like when prodigy tried to move forward after fat of the land. it won't ever be THAT album again, but the new shit is still admirable and worthy of a random deadmau5 playlist.

Deadmouse needs to start producing some french house/disco house.
|

Not really related, but I went and saw a show in Toronto once, and my friends and I jokingly chanted "Deadmau-five! Deadmau-five!". A local asked us if we were talking aboot Deadmoose.
lol Canadian accents

Saw Deadmouse live before Dev even heard of him.

yeah but Canadians don't actually say "aboot" or stuff like that. completely random and false stereotype, eh?

I say I'm never going to listen to Avril Lavigne (or, I'm sorry...Avril Kroeger) every year but come the next year, there I am again wondering how things got so complicated.

Sowing listen to Strobe and it'll be easier to understand why the mau5 has gotten so popular
|
| |
This is the ultimate "phoning it in" album
|
| |
yea sowing listen to strobe holy shit you will not be dissappoint
|
| |
the "featuring Gerard Way" was the clincher for me
|
| |
The gerard way track is terribad
and I'll listen to strobe guys
|
| |
Listen to Random Album Title. That thing's a masterpiece.
|
| |
strobe is fucking cool. check out The Reward is Cheese and Arguru too
|
| |
Tbh I wasn't all that disappointed with the Gerard way track. Sure his vocals are awful but the track itself is catchy as hell.
|
| |
catchy =/= good

"As America finally begins to accept electronic dance music (that's edm to all you dictionary avoiders) into its daily culture (welcome to the party guys, the invites only went out about twenty years ago)"

Strobe is sweet yeah, my favourite mau5 track is probably Some Chords though. I know I know, liking 4x4 is lame but i love it.
and yeah rec that quote is basically deviant's cunt...ishness (??) summed up perfectly

I've skimmed this and listened to a few tracks in full, but it's all been mediocre to shit and I'm not sure I have the patience to listen to this all the way through. At least Joel's music now matches his douchebag behavior so I don't have to be conflicted.
|
| |
so much American-approved EDM is horrible but I do listen to "Sofi Needs A Ladder" and Skrillex's "Weekends" embarrassingly often
never liked Deadmau5 though. For Lack Of A Better Name never grew on me, and 4x4 was just too dull for me to get into..
