My favourite album of all time (closely followed by Zoon which I see as the purgatory to Elizium's ecstasy)

Psychonaut was the beginning of a new sound and the perfect appetiser for Elizium, just as Blue Water was the transition from Dawnrazor to The Nephilim. Two very important singles showing the progression in their sound.

Should also give some props to Andy Jackson the producer/sound engineer for the change in sound from The Nephilim. That ethereal, layered and immersive sound was no doubt a direct translation from his work with Pink Floyd and it really shows here, and merges perfectly with Carl’s artistic vision and the collective sound of the band.
