Between Pageant, Document and Reckoning, there's really no separating in my opinion. They're all equally awesome.

Six and one, half dozen the other, if Michael Stipe is to be trusted.

Ello dan dude. Nice to see you dig early R.E.M, this is where it all begins.

Hey, bud. Oh yeah I'm a big fan, all the stuff from Murmur to Document is excellent, then Automatic is essential as well.

You've ever heard the album Accelerate?

I've heard 'em all dude. The later stuff is a bit iffy but still has its moments.
Automatic is top 5 of all time for me.

I only have 4 more albums to go before I finish the discography, I found Accelerate to be a great return to form.

Automatic and Murmur are tied for my favorite R.E.M., they're both really amazing.

I've never listened much to REM besides the hits, but am going through their discography now. Loved Murmur so much. Just starting this one, but sounds great so far!

Nice one bud, from Murmur to Document it's all gold. Automatic For The People is an essential album for life.

Did you check your shoutbox yet? I left you some recs you asked for the other day :]

Oh, yeah--I did. Thanks. I love Alice in Chains (along with all the main Seattle/grunge bands). Do you have any other recs along the lines of the popularity of Screaming Trees? Lesser known overall.

Dude, you're talking to the right man here :]

I try to know all sorts of stuff when it comes to the Seattle grunge scene. If you want to dive into the underground, there's lots of rewarding gems you can find. Skin Yard, Coffin Break, Gruntruck, Mad Season (not exactly lesser known since it's sort of a "supergroup" but an amazing treat anyway), Dandelion, Mudhoney...

That's just a portion of the stuff I know and love from the "scene", there's enough listening material there for days on end, man. If you want more you can send me a message anytime. Enjoy bud :]

Perfect, thanks guys. I know Blind Melon and Mad Season, and a bit of Mudhoney. I'll check those all out sometime.

On first listen, this doesn't sound like much of a jump from Murmur or Reckoning, but most of the songs are so good that I don't care.

I'd say Murmur's my favorite of the three albums I've heard so far.

Murmur and Automatic are their best imo. Automatic being a little better.
