Actually I don't know what happened there tbh haha. But I remember really loving this song and Serj's solo stuff in general. If there is a new SOAD album, Serj's voice will probably be like this and I am totally with that

Yep, best solo Serj. Not mind blowing, but really solid and fun.

That being said, I am okay with not having any new rock music from him or SOAD. It's okay. Let's move on

Compared to Elect The Dead, this was slightly disappointing to me, but I cannot deny how wonderful and well-thought out the melodies and songwriting are on here. A 2 is a tragedy.

"For longtime fans, there’s always that punched in the gut feeling when Serj Tankian decides to release a new record. That isn’t to say that he doesn’t display his fair share of musical panache, but it typically dashes the hopes of all those waiting for a new System of a Down album."

And this review was all the way back from 2012... yeesh. Crazy how we never got a new SOAD record in all that time (though honestly, maybe it's for the best)

Yeah after seeing them last summer I think it's probably best they ride their hits into the sunset. The tentative political truce that kept them focused on anti-war and Armenian causes isn't able to overcome like 3/4 of the band's centrist or outright MAGA tendencies. I feel like a new full length would be awful now, like 'Why don't the mushroom men man teehee all come together and stop yelling at me teehee come together now and support local chambers of commerce ha ha ho HO' *dolphin noise*
