I want to like this band but they kinda bore me. Haven't checked this album yet but Transparent Seas was an awesome song from the last one. There's bound to be a few good tracks here.

I love the vox in this band so much, and the Polar Bear Club comparison may be a bit more fitting for their older stuff, band is great nonetheless, nice review too.

Nikkolae, it is still fitting in my opinion because both have mellowed alot as they mature

Are they a Christian band?

This sounds like the Gaslight Anthem meets Jimmy Eat World. Love it.

I'm really enjoying Stay In The Sun and Royal. The one thing that stands out on this album for me is the mediocre drum work. It's solid the whole way through, but never gets remotely interesting. Haven't listened to the album enough, but it feels like there's something missing; it's all just very generic for me.

love the christian themes on this one great christian band m/

Yeah...nothing like Futures. I found the songs to be quite generic with no real hooks, just blending together.
