Idk I like muddier production in my metal more often than not nowadays. That squeaky clean stuff does nothing for me lol.

i dont care too much either way as long i can just hear everything going on, regardless of how clean or polished it is or isnt

Chucky, try Teitanblood's latest. You will never have to hear riffs again once you feel them.

Another lost soul still not capable of fishing out the wild riffs swimming in the cacophanous primordial soup of molten metal. Your day shall come son.

hmm, maybe if, i dunno, the production was better i could hear these epic riffs you speak of :P

black metal isnt necessarily my jam, i tend to like stuff that is black metal influenced more than the source material, if you will. i could listen to teitanblood but it wouldnt be for the guitarwork

No it's more for the atmosphere imo, but yeah, it sure isn't for everyone and that is very understandable too

heh yeah I get it, was getting a little jab in at hawks

I've tried getting to black metal, best I've managed is early 2000s Enslaved and I know that isn't even straight up bm
