i really dont understand why everyone hates atreyu so much..
sure, their screamer dude is pretty horrible
and they may not be the best songwriters or whatever
but people are wayy too harsh on the band
their songs actually mean something
unlike alot of metalcore bands these days
and the guitarists are actuaally quite skilled
the drummer is a great singer, and a decent drummer
overall, the band has way more pros than cons
but i do agree with whoever said taht hating atreyu is
the thing to do
it seems that everyone either hates or loves atreyu
they happen to be one of my favorite bands actually
i know theyre not the best musically
not even close
but theyre not bad either

haha let me rephrase that..
everyone thinks that their screamer is horrible
i actually like his voice, its annoying at first but i can eassily get past that..and for the most part their not the greatest songwriters, but a few songs are fuckin genius...the remembrance ballad, one of the greatest songs ever, who can hate it???? and demonology and heartache is fantastic as well

****in genius... You either have low standards when it comes to musical genius, or you are just a crazed fanboy. It could always be a mixture of both.
I still somewhat like this though, haven't listened to it in a while.

i like ur review but i disagree with the "this flesh a tomb" part. i think that is a great song. maybe not musically but lyrically if thats a word.  i guess i have a bias because i love lyrics that deal with immortality and that are morbidly romantic. thats just my opinion but good review!

It kind of hurts my heart that there are so many 5's for this record. It's catchy and a good opener to the metalcore genre, but there's so much better metalcore out there.
