Why? A rave isn't limited to one genre of electronic music (even though it originated out of acid house)

I've not been to one, so my opinion is shaped by those I know who have been. Raves in my area used to be, ironically enough, all about the trance and it's subgenre's. I've heard of the other music used, and somehow I think the drugs and bodies would just move better to something psychedelic *shrugs*

I think for a lot of people the drugs that are taken at raves just benefit from music that really takes over the listener, which is why really huge 4x4 beats are so popular, it's just a natural rhythm that's so easy to get into and be a part of.

This is a dance album

I don't really see how it could come across any other way except for what it is. Unless this is simply the result of you seeing my comment in that MJ thread and subsequently trying to catch me out only for it to backfire. That might seem like a rather intense thought to have, but I honestly don't see how anyone could be confused by the summary
