Any album/band recommendations similar to this album? I friggin loved the sound, and I was wondering what else there is out there that's reminiscent of this...

Novembre and November's Doom would be my first thoughts.

Also Agalloch, but they aren't very much like Opeth, even though they have a similar sound.

Well Akerfeldt does also have some other amazing singing parts in other albums, but he also growls on the rest.

I just realized I never actually listened to this album as a whole yet. Ever.

And I for one love the growling.

No, it's clean electric guitars and acoustic guitars.

I got this now but I didn't like so much, I'm not into Opeth at all but this sound pretty ok though. I prefer Forgotten Tomb's ''Songs To Leave'' instead of this album.

I think so, ''Songs To Leave'' and ''Springtime Depression'' has a similar ''feel'' and they are definitely more depressive than this album. It might be a bad comparison since FT is doom/black and Opeth is ''Extreme Progressive Metal''. You should check them out, I like their music more and more (but not because of the lyrics)

Good album, although it gets a bit repetitive.

I could only think of Closure of being repetitive, but every part in that song is pretty freakin' sweet, so I dont think it matters.

I have reaffirmed my love for this album.
