I agree with Iluvatar about the dragging in the middle, but still, yeah this is undoubtly my favorite System album.

I think the title of this album is stupid. Is the band aware that if people steal the album it will cost them money?

That was quite possibly the dumbest thing ever said by anyone. Not you Iluvatar.

I highly doubt it's the dumbest thing ever said by anyone. I once heard some one say "You sir....are a coat". This Message Edited On 04.30.06

^ Well that's vaguely humorous. The above statement was just stupidity. Oh well.
This was referring to comments made by Metallicaman, but Mr. Iluvatar beat me to the post. This Message Edited On 04.30.06

Yeah, this album is unjustly hated. I consider it either tied with Toxicity or a little bit better. But I listen to STA! consideribly more than Toxicity. Toxicity seems to be more consistantly good, while this is either hit-or-miss. There's some excellent songs, but others that just.. suck. Still a great album however.

I can't believe you, Jawaharal. You say the guitar is recycled? System of a Down has probably the least recycled riffs of any modern rock band. If you want recycled riffs, look no further than Korn or Mudvayne. That was a really stupid and uneducated comment. Okay, onto the album. Going against what I guess is public opinion, I hate Nuguns and Thetawaves with a passion. Basically, they are the s**tiest tracks I have ever heard from System of a Down. Highway song is an obvious highlight, kind of like a scaled-back and not as good Chop Suey. The guitar riffs on Streamline were really sludgy, and nu-metalish. Ego Brain gets overated a lot, but the opening eight tracks with the exception of Nuguns are really the meat of this album. A.D.D., I-E-A-I-A-I-O, and Mr. Jack stand out as the best, and all come in a row in the 6-7-8 tracks on the album. That three song chunk is as good as any that System has put together, with the possible exception of Toxicity-Psycho-Aerials. Pretty good album overall, although some gaping holes that are not like System of a Down at all.

The guitar playing is very original, but alot of the times rehashed as well. For instance, a hell of alot of songs revolve around the open and first frets. ALOT. They use it well, however. Mostly.

I think this is a good example of System Of a Downs work. Very similar to the first album.

This album sucks...nowhere near as good as their s/t debut. Darons guitar playing and john's drumming are the best parts, as with all the other system albums, serj's voice is ok but where the hell is the bass!?! the only song i can think of where the bass is audible is radio/video. This definately there worst effort, it just seems rushed and unfinished.
