I'll be getting it too, but mostly because I already know I love it. This grew on me like crazy after just about four listens. I'm actually kind of surprised it did.
And Rudy K, I love how you start off the second paragraph. I recognized those same exact influences after listening to this without even reading your review.

From what I understand it was kind of a "one last hurrah" sort of thing. He wrote the notation specifically for the concert. They might start playing it with local symphonies and such, but with Picker claiming he's moving away from the whole orchestral pop thing, who knows.
