My sister has this album. I tried to listen to it, but I just couldn't do it. I stopped after like 2-3 tracks. I will admit I have an extreme bias against rap (especially mainstream rap), so I'm not gonna rate it.

Good review, but the album, to me, personally is trash. One of my friends listened to it nonstop a couple of years back and I wanted to murder him with a chainsaw. >_

It's become so fashionable to knock 50 Cent, but everyone wwho was into rap liked him. He isn't talentless, while I personally don't like how badly he's selling out and the assacre is really not good IMO, this album deserves props, it was pretty good. I'd give it an enthsiastic 3.5

I honestly never thought he was that great. His beats are well produced but that's to be expected from Dr. Dre. His lyrical content is boring to me, it's all the same stuff. Better than his new album for sure but in overall terms of the actually talented rappers he's not that good. I will say he is better than most of the crap on the radio these days his voice annoys me tho.

Ok I havent got this album, so my criticism maybe a little bankrupt before I have begun! Anyhows having been forced to listen to "fiddy" in the gym - I must say his songs contain little or any decent substance other than well produced backing tracks. I used to be into Rap music - long time ago now, but the new wave of Commercial rap is generally of a poor quality! 50 Cent mumbles his way thru the songs which generally seem to be about women and guns and it all just sounds really poor I'm afraid! I used to think Rap was all about poverty, struggling in the real Ghetto's, the hardship of life for Black Americans whereas everything I hear from 50 Cent is about lavish bling bling lifestyles and a fictional tough street lifestyle he leads. In years to come he will be remembered if at all as a pop star and not in the same league let alone genre as Public Enemy or NWA etcThis Message Edited On 03.17.06

Ive always wondered, did 50 get shot in face? most likly the guy sounds like a blender trying to crush bricks. Why didnt they shoot him in the head!!?? or shoot me before he comes out with another album, because i swear ill put a bullet in my own head if i hear, ill talk you to the candy shop one more time. I am not a 50 fan but the album isn't as horrible as people make it out to be. Its got some songs I can ride to.
I may not like the person but his albums aren't terrible to own.
