are you afraid they might disturb the ancient ghosts that dwell within

No, I am training to be an Anthropologist and most feel very strongly about site preservation. Then again, every site of any amount of importance is exploited out its ass for tourism so why give a shit, right?

They're just playing in this really old coliseum with a dirt floor in the center. I mean they absolutely tear the walls down metaphorically, but nah they don't really disturb things. It's not like a live show, it's only the band and audio engineers

that's not terrible then. And if the country gave them permission then obviously it didn't bother them either.

Definitely a title that grabs attention.

"I don't know how I feel about a band playing on an archaeological site. :/"

They did Pompeii justice, don't worry. Anthropology is an awesome field, but we can't block off all the beautiful places of the globe because anthropologist want to stick their fingers in the dirt and see what's underneath.

By the way, you can see the whole video on youtube. It's really tastefully done.

I know. The whole thing with tourism is that it is a major chunk/the only source of income for most countries so fiscal need can supersede preservation.

Finding a balance is always key. We can't save everything, but we don't have to be irresponsible either.... I studied Anthropology in college, as well. : )
