comments in an american idiot thread on sputnik must fall into one of these categories, please edit your posts accordingly metalguy
#1: several pages of "why does everyone on this site hate this album" from people with high ratings (the people who actually hate it rarely comment)
#2: outlandish claims about its impact and how vitally important it is to our generation
|

Uh, so I like it, but rank it a 3.5. Where do I fit in?
And it WAS kinda important to the generation below mine. It was for them kinda what Nevermind was for us. I mean, almost EVERYBODY who's in their teens to early 20s got into music through this album, or at least heard (of) it and knows a few songs.

I never liked Green Day even when I was young, only song I knew off this beforehand was Boulevard of Broken Dreams. I AM THE 1%!

Calling an album great is like agreeing with another person's opinion who rated the album higher
simply by nodding your head, so yeah... edit: pretty important band for bringing pop-punk out the
wilderness. this album is 'return to rock' album, because it brought rock back for a spell.

idk what this rips melodies from (specify por favor), with how many melodies are on the album it's probably hard for all of them to sound 100% original.
