Making music has made me so much more critical of the songwriting process of records at large, and that almost feels impossible at points to turn off.
That said, I listened to this all the way through within the last couple months (I usually will give it a full spin at least once a year) and I found myself really just incapable of being overly critical of it.
You're absolutely right. It DOES have flaws. But it was clearly made with so much inherent passion, and sheer JOY for the craft, that all of those issues just melt entirely away as soon as you turn the damn thing on.
