Because Convalesense fuckin rules, that's why. That song had to be the single greatest live performance I ever witnessed. The bridge is so fucking epic. I remember bro-ing down at that part.

I've always had a thing for the drums on Convalescence. I do agree about some areas of the album being bland, I definitely prefer Deliver Us. However, Tranquil is probably my favourite Darkest Hour song, solo just slays.

EDIT: In regards to the review, I'd say there are some invalid points. One being that Kris Norris is technically proficient. He is, but he just doesn't show it that often on here. This Message Edited On 12.07.08

Agreed. Nothing and I mean fucking nothing on there touches Convalesence. How the singer managed to snag the hottie from Abigail Williams is beyond me.

I'd do her, nah i'd be a little more proper than that. I'd sit home and watch The Notebook 6 times in a row with that chick. And maybe, I might shave my arms. Well, the first three words are correct.

I don't know if it's their best although a really strong contender, but "These Fevered Times" anyone!?

I'm almost suprised about Darkest Hour's popularity on sputnik. New album slays, Devolution Of The Flesh sounds a little familiar.

Good album from an excellent group. I just saw them live, and they feel different with the absence of Kris Norris. The band has a different less unique feel to them. However they still were amazing.

This album is truly remarkable as far as darkest hour material is concerned. A band that definitely is confident in the genre and their own musical talent.

This album is my least favourite from this group. It seriously feels like it is lacking something the other albums had. It tries a little too hard to be obviously hook-y for its own good.

1:31-2:35 in Tranquil is one of my all time favourite lead sections/parts of a song

Plus it's pretty fun to play

Curse.

I love this album, almost wish they had kept the elements from it on later albums, I really like the melodic aspects here, they don't have much of that on the new stuff. Paradise is one of my favs, which is weird cuz it has no solo...I just love the guitar work and lyrics. Album as a whole is amazing.
