It's ok, for my part. Probably won't give it more attention.

I'm just not sure 'enigmatic' is the right word to describe Blake and his music. I'm not sure experimental counts as enigmatic. I'd say even Bon Iver's newest album is more enigmatic with the ambiguous lyrics alone.

Burial, Aphex and BoC all follow the same template for the most part

Yes, but the fact that they tend to simply release the same stuff over and over sort of negates that for me. I find James Blake difficult to interpret or understand at times because he constantly switches styles and jumps back and forth between these different roles

For those James Blake lovers here, check out Oliver Tank's EP Dreams. Just came across it, it's pretty chilled.

Prolific London producer James Blake continues to churn out music, with his 4th release of 2011 being the 14 minute instrumental EP 'Love What Happened Here'. Sharing some similarities with his early career 'CMYK' EP, all 3 tracks here are relatively upbeat & border on being aimed at dancefloors. Could this be a stab at greater accessibility in the future, with the aim of integrating his want for experimental dubstep & electronica as best as possible? Who knows with Blake! The title track is the best here, with 'Curbside' likely to be the most divisive. How about you take a year off now James?

I like this review, except for this line: "It’s all a little familiar at this point, and consequently it’s undeniably Blake, but it feels strangely different; a meshing of the past and the present that ends up falling somewhere in between the two."
And you missed the fact that he sampled Quasimoto on "Curbside." But still good.
