Low rating, Sam! Jk, glad to see that you like this. First three tracks are stellar, and "The Otherside" is probably my favorite hip-hop song of 2011.

I'm not crazy on the latter, but it's still a damn good song, and "Lighthouse" has this really raw feel about it that I love.

I think it's really overrated by "core" The Roots fans, It's great but it sounds ordinary, I didn't hear nothing unique or progressing on that LP, It's great but that's all about it, also last 4 instrumental songs are scary unnecessary.

I love only one song from that LP "sleep" beat is awesome, minimalistic but really fuckin great **3.0** I expected much more by legend crew but it seems doing similar music for over 10 years isn't enough for me

daIceman: That's fair, although I feel like it's teeming with creativity. The concept is ingeniously executed, the beats are so smooth and relaxing, and the piano playing is exceptional and ridiculously infectious. This might just be my favorite Roots album... but Things Fall Apart is damn near perfect as well.

Ugh so I've listened to over eighty new albums this year, with five more on my hard drive that I haven't managed to get around to, and you're telling me I need to do one more? UGH.

But I'll do it because, y'know, Ily Matt Myrogania French.

Also I don't feel like I've been on Sputnik enough in recent times.

Yeah I agree beats are really relaxing but the true is I've never been a huge fan of Roots anyway I'll give to that LP more spins it deserves it but if we talking about some dreamy,sleapy, realaxing beats I like way more than this KNO production on Oneirology by CunninLynguists.

JesusChris: read the review! lol. But to answer your question quickly: it has the same contemporary hip-hop feel with a gritty edge. It's highly experimental and very infectious.
