I've always maintained there is NO stereo Beatles before 1967, but after hearing "Tomorrow Never Knows" in STEREO on CD (horrors!), I bought a stereo Japanese pressing of the LP (y'all figuring out I'm a stark-raving vinyl purist, here?) and am glad I did. I still prefer most of the poppy/bouncy tracks in mono (Good Day Sunshine & Got To Get You Into My Life), but "Tomorrow Never Knows" is wonderful in 2-channel for all of the experimentation and studio gizmology that mix can reveal.
Great album - great review!

i am a huge beatles fan and this album blows all the others away. The only other album that is anywhere near as good is rubber soul. Revolver is one of the most influential rock albums of all time

The fact that For No One isn't a recommended track makes this review void... Or something.

I've only heard about half the songs from this album, but based on what I've haerd it's not really worthy of the praise it receives. Atleast not based on my musical tastes. is there anyone that could send me the whole album? I'd love to review this especially since it could use a review not giving it a 5.

I never understood the appeal of this album or Abbey Road. While good, it's weak compared to other Beatles albums...The White Album, Sgt. Pepper's, and MMT are all better. Tomorrow Never Knows is awesome however.

Don't review an album you don't understand just for the sake of giving it a rating less than 5. It is a classic in every sense of the word. It represents a turning point in musical history, and is completley free of filler.

It's not that he doesn't understand it, it's that he doesn't really like it. I still think that Revolver can get kind of boring at times while Sgt. Peppers is full of surprises.

Precisely what Zebra said. I 'understand' the album, it's just that I've only heard about half the songs.
