Arggg The Gothsicles are a pet-peeve of mine, as I can see the appeal they have but it always fails to grab me.

Tough review, but not unfair.

Was disappointed! Heard there stuff on Kinetic 4. Thought the whole cd would be good. Good thing I got my new Nachtmahr t shirt in the mail today. That put me in a better mood after hearing this crap!

Well yea, A Violent Emotion is a 5 and Close to Human is a 4.5 to me so if I was rating just based on comparison it'd be about a 1.5, but by itself I don't think it's as bad as people are saying

Been thinking of how to reply, wrote a lot of lengthy things but it finally came to me:

If this was released under a different name, as a first album with nothing to compare it to, I'd still enjoy it as much as I do now realistically. It might get a tad better score but there are A LOT better things out in the industrial world than this album.

Ah the nature of opinions in regards to music - the diversity is nice : )

I think if this were released under a different name the only thing that would change would be that it wouldn't be a dissapointment, it'd still be a painfully average release. I didn't want to admit it at first because i'm a huge AE fanboy but that's all it is, just average and boring. If it weren't for the vocals i'd like it alot more

Yeah, the vocals bring it down a lot and are a big gripe for me as well.

And tbh I lost all respect for this guy for how he reacted to negative views toward the new album.

I can see some of the points he made, but it is interesting how he reacted.

If you need to quote a song title, quote it correctly next time.

Just sayin'.

Now go back to your mom's basement listening to your ultra evil EBM - that is, electro black metal for the likes of you.

If you knew anything about pizza you know he doesn't like, nor listen to, ultra evil EBM.

I know, I thought the closest we'd gotten was Alien Vampires or Psyclon Nine (though a bit far from EBM).

I've listened to a few EBM albums back in the day.

How I imagined this being said:

Back in my day we didn't have much EBM like you young whippersnappers, but I listened to it, boy did I listen to it. Did I like it? Hell no, but I listened anyway because things were different back then, you youngsters best remember that.
