I couldn't find a non-fake download of this and I'm in Uganda so I can't buy it anywhere (except iTunes probably but fuck paying for digital music). I liked what I heard from the stream though, the first half ish.

Yeah they had a great anti-piracy drive; all the fake downloads are the album with 27947294782 x distortion uploaded by the band and their fanbase.

yeah i saw that. i actually downloaded one of the fake ones and read the text file that came with it, which directed me to their blog, and i read their whole reasoning for it. I agree with what they were doing in terms of controlling pre-release hype/anti-hype or whatever but seeing as it's been out for ages now it's kind of annoying that i still cant get it on mediafire or something. Like, I'm not going to pay for it if I'm not sure I'll like it (sorry band) but if I hear it and like it, then I'd go see them live, buy merch etc. as it stands now though, if they came touring near me i wouldn't go because I haven't heard their music. so idk I get what they're trying to do, but it's preventing me from giving them any money.

Yeah. I totally understand, and I actually was surprised when they took the stream down so quickly after release (I think it was only up for 24 hours).

I don't know I don't hate them for it, I think it's totally their right to withhold the album from file-sharing websites, I'm just not sure it's the best business strategy.
and yeah I only had time to listen to half of the album before the stream was down. sounded like cool stuff though. If I ever get a proper listen of this, I predict a 4/5.
