I think this album stings a little more because it's out so soon after the great Enemy of the World. That's it for me, at least.

It's not terribad, but very bland and boring. Gone are the youthful fun that enemy and rise possessed.

i see this as being the Saves The Day's "In Reverie" you either love the change of sound or as a long time fan, hate it with a passion, and there is going to be some that'll think "it's ok, not their best but not bad..." thats where i stand, sure the sound is slower and the theme of all the songs are the same but the instrumentals have more work put into them then the lyrics thats for sure, i recommend "stuck in the middle" and "just drive".

I miss the poppy/hardcore breakdowns that is four year strong. This is an alright album for some

Band but not four year strong. It's disappointing. Bring back the synth too.

It's more serious i'd say. Don't understand how this is at a 2.9 to be honest.

Following the loss of their keys player, Four Year Strong discernibly alter their sound on 4th LP 'In Some Way, Shape, or Form'. Likely to alienate many loyal fans, tighter mainstream rock is the genre of choice, although it's mostly given the hard-hitting treatment which the quartet's past suggests. While there are still bugs to iron out (some tracks cross the line into blandness), the highlights are a nice compromise of styles that should find a greater audience. Hey, it's not as if the band were ever the most original or diverse group going around! Recommended Tracks: The Infected, Heaven Wasn't Built to Hold Me, Fairweather Fan & The Security of the Familiar....

This album is definitely being underrated by fans who feel jilted, displeased by the change in style and unable to cope with the concept that this is really good stuff despite of it.

Ok listened to this again. It's not as bad as I thought. I still think it's bland, but I can see the allusions to Enemy, and it is quite a decent rock record.
